Sponsor Before It Rugs or partner with us: who the audience is, what's on offer, which brands we accept or refuse, and how each paid placement is labelled.

Before It Rugs is free to use. Sponsors and partners help keep it that way. This page is for brands, creators, educators and data partners who'd like to work with us.

We take one sponsor at a time, we're strict about who we accept, and sponsors never touch the grades. If that suits you, read on.

Who the audience is

People come here to check a Solana memecoin before they buy it, or to understand why one collapsed. They tend to be:

  • active on-chain, using self-custody wallets and trading new tokens
  • cautious, or trying to become more cautious, after seeing or suffering rug pulls
  • interested in practical security: protecting wallets, spotting scams, keeping records for tax
  • reached through the website and through short videos on YouTube and TikTok

We don't publish traffic figures we can't back up, so we publish the real ones: visitors, page views, coin checks and chart clicks for the last 30 days are live on our open stats page, counted without cookies. A media kit with social reach is available on request.

What we offer

Site sponsor

One sponsor slot on every page of the site, shown to every visitor while your sponsorship runs. Only one sponsor holds it at a time.

Mention in our videos

A short sponsor mention in our videos on YouTube and TikTok, clearly marked as an ad on screen and in the description. Our videos are generated from the same data as the live board.

A labelled chapter or page in one of our guides, written with you, on a topic that genuinely helps readers. Examples: setting up a hardware wallet, protecting a seed phrase, keeping crypto records for tax.

Co-written educational content

Guides or explainers we write together, published on the site and labelled as advertising. We keep final say on accuracy and tone.

Data partnerships and API access (later)

We're planning to offer grade data and evidence through an API. If you build wallets, security tools or research and would like early access, get in touch and tell us what you need.

Prices depend on the format and length of the sponsorship. Ask and we'll send them.

Who we accept

We only work with brands that help people protect themselves. Allowed categories:

  • wallet security
  • hardware wallets
  • password managers
  • crypto tax software
  • education

Who we never accept

  • tokens or coin launches, including presales and airdrops
  • exchanges
  • trading bots or signal groups
  • gambling or casinos, including crypto casinos
  • leverage or margin products
  • anything that promises returns

We review every sponsor ourselves before saying yes, and we can say no to anyone. If a sponsor's product changes so it no longer fits these rules, we end the sponsorship.

These limits also keep us clear of UK rules on cryptoasset financial promotions. We don't promote cryptoassets, and we don't accept sponsors that do.

Sponsors never influence grades

Grades are calculated automatically from public data, with the same rules for every coin. The methodology is public.

  • Sponsors can't change, remove or delay a grade.
  • Sponsors don't see data before anyone else.
  • Sponsors don't get a say in anything else we publish.
  • If a sponsor's own token or product appears in our data, it's graded like everything else.

How labelling works

Readers should always know when something is paid for. UK advertising rules (the CAP Code, enforced by the Advertising Standards Authority) require ads to be obviously identifiable as ads, and that's our standard too.

  • On the site: the sponsor slot carries a clear "Ad" label at the top, with your brand name, and looks different from our own content.
  • In videos: "Ad" appears on screen while your mention plays, and the description says the video contains a paid sponsorship.
  • In guides and articles: any sponsored chapter or co-written piece is labelled as advertising at the top, before the reader starts, and names you as the sponsor.

Google AdSense ads on the site are also labelled as ads by Google.

Get in touch

Email sponsors@beforeitrugs.com with "Sponsorship" or "Partnership" in the subject line. It helps if you include:

  • your company and website
  • the product you'd like to feature, and which category above it fits
  • what you're interested in (site slot, videos, guide chapter, content, data)
  • roughly when you'd like it to run

We read every message and reply when we can. Please don't send unsolicited token listings or "partnership" offers for coins. We don't take them, and we won't reply.

Paying for a sponsorship

We invoice by email from sponsors@beforeitrugs.com. You can pay by bank transfer, card, or in SOL. Our only address for sponsorship payments in SOL is:

Check any invoice against this page before you pay. We never send payment details by DM, and we never ask for payment to any other wallet. If someone does, it isn't us: please tell us at sponsors@beforeitrugs.com.
