These terms apply when you use beforeitrugs.com, our alerts, and the guides we sell. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. Who we are
Before It Rugs is run by Michael Reynolds, a sole trader in the UK, trading as Before It Rugs. [Owner to add: a geographic address for service.] You can contact us at hello@beforeitrugs.com.
2. Information only, not financial advice
Before It Rugs publishes information about Solana memecoins drawn from public data. It is not financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and it isn't a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything.
We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We don't know your circumstances, and nothing on the site takes them into account. Any decision you make with your money is yours alone. If you need advice, speak to a qualified, regulated adviser.
Memecoins are extremely high risk and most go to zero. Please read the risk warning.
3. Grades are automated
Grades are produced automatically by fixed rules applied to public data, explained on the methodology page. They are summaries of evidence, not accusations against anyone and not a judgement of anyone's intentions.
A good grade means we didn't find the warning signs we look for. It does not mean a coin is safe, legitimate or a good investment. A bad grade doesn't mean a coin will fail.
4. No warranty on data
We rely on third-party data from services including DexScreener, GeckoTerminal and RugCheck. We're not affiliated with them. Their data can be late, incomplete or wrong, and so can ours.
The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that it will be accurate, complete, up to date, uninterrupted or free of errors. Prices and grades can change between one refresh and the next. Always check important information yourself, using primary sources such as a block explorer.
5. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited or excluded by law. If you're a consumer, nothing here affects your statutory rights.
Subject to that:
- We're not liable for any trading or investment loss, or any loss of profit, funds, tokens or opportunity, arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content.
- We're not liable for losses caused by third-party data, services or websites, including those we link to.
- For our free services, our total liability to you is limited to £100. For a guide you bought, it's limited to the price you paid.
6. Acceptable use
You can use the site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Please don't:
- scrape or crawl the site, or call our endpoints, in a way that ignores rate limits, overloads our servers or degrades the site for others
- copy our grades or data in bulk to build a competing service, or resell them, without written permission
- try to break, probe or get around the site's security
- frame the site, or use our name or logo, in a way that suggests we endorse you, a token or a project
- use the site to break the law, harass anyone or impersonate us
Reasonable personal use, linking to pages and sharing screenshots with a link back are fine. If you'd like bulk or commercial access to our data, ask us. See Sponsors and partnerships.
We can block access from anyone who breaks these rules.
7. Our content
The site's text, design, grades, guides and videos belong to us, apart from third-party data and trade marks, which belong to their owners. You may quote short extracts with a link back to the page.
8. Alerts
Email alerts and browser notifications are free and optional. They're sent automatically and may arrive late, out of order or not at all, for example if a data source or delivery service fails. Don't rely on them to protect a position. You can stop them at any time.
9. Digital products
We sell PDF guides through a third-party checkout provider, Payhip. It takes your payment (including PayPal), handles UK and EU VAT, issues your receipt and delivers your download. We are the seller and are responsible for the guides and refunds.
The guides are educational. They teach checks and habits. They don't recommend any coin, and the same "not financial advice" terms apply to them.
Your right to cancel
You can cancel and get a full refund within 14 days of buying. Email hello@beforeitrugs.com with your order number. We handle refunds ourselves.
Faulty files
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a file is faulty, for example it won't open, it's corrupted or pages are missing, email us. We'll send a working replacement. If we can't fix it within a reasonable time, we'll refund you.
10. Tips
Tips in SOL are voluntary gifts to support the site. They don't buy any product, service, access, influence or return. Blockchain transactions can't be reversed, so tips can't be refunded. Check the tip address on our site carefully, and never trust a tip address sent to you in a message.
11. Links to other sites
We link to other websites, including data sources, block explorers and sponsors. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, products or terms. Sponsored placements are always labelled as ads.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply. Changes won't affect a purchase you've already made.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
